Which versions of Windows are supported?

There are a number of different versions of Windows available, and some of our products are not compatible with all version of Windows. This page tells you which programs you can run with your version of Windows. 

PC Software

This table lists which software is available for each version of Windows.

Please note that you may need to contact us for a software update to use software with Windows Vista.

Windows CE, Windows Mobile & Pocket PC

The Grid Mobile software is available for hand held devices running the following Microsoft operating systems:

• Windows Mobile 2003
• Windows Mobile 2003 SE
• Windows Mobile 5.0
• Windows Mobile 6 Classic or Professional
• Windows CE 4.20 and above

Notes: 

• The some features may not be available on all devices, for example not all devices have a serial port for connecting serial switches.   In Windows Mobile 6 the "Windows" and "OK" buttons are restricted in the ways they can be used as scanning controls.
• SMS messaging can only be used on machines fitted with a phone and running Windows Mobile Phone Edition (in Windows Mobile 6 this is called Professional Edition).
• If a device has a built-in (or external) qwerty keyboard this can be used instead of onscreen keyboard grids. However text cannot be entered using numeric keypads e.g. using "T9" or "2=abc, 3=def" methods.
• Grid Mobile cannot be used on Smartphones which do not have a touchscreen (these devices usually have a numeric keypad). Windows Mobile 2003/5 Smartphone edition and Windows Mobile 6 Standard edition are not compatible.

Mac, Linux, etc 

Sensory Software titles are all for Windows PCs - they are not available for Mac, Linux, etc. All programs are tested and compatible with Windows XP.
