Hiding the menu bar in The Grid 2

The menu bar in The Grid 2 is normally displayed above grids.  It can sometimes be useful to hide the menu bar - for example, to prevent it from being selected accidentally by a user with a touch screen.  You can show/hide the menu bar at any time by pressing F12.

You may wish to have the menu bar hidden when The Grid 2 starts.  This prevents you needing to hide the menu bar each time you use The Grid 2.  To do this, go to File > Preferences and untick Show menu bar above grids when The Grid starts.

If you have a tablet computer, it does not have a keyboard.  This makes it a bit inconvenient to press F12 because you have to plug in a keyboard in order to show the menu bar.  Fortunately, there is an alternative.  Go to File > Preferences and tick Click in grid corners to show the menu bar.  Now you will be able to get the menu bar back with the stylus or a mouse.  When the menu is hidden, you will see small red squares in the top two corners of the screen.  Tap the squares once each with a couple of seconds, and the menu bar will appear.
