Using Grid 2 with non-Latin alphabets

Before installing or using Grid 2 with any of the following languages:
•    Arabic
•    Chinese
•    Czech
•    Polish
•    Greek
it is necessary to change the computer's language setting for non-Unicode programs. You will still be able to use English as well as the non-latin language with Grid 2. Proceed as follows (you will need to be logged in as an administrator):

 

Windows XP

From control panel, under 'Date, Time and Regional settings', select 'Change format of date and numbers'.
     
 

On the Region and language dialog select the 'Advanced' tab and click 'Change system locale'. Under 'Language for non-Unicode programs' select an appropriate locale (Arabic, Chinese etc).  Depending on tha language, you may also have to check boxes to install files for right to left languages or East Asian languages on the Languages tab.

Click OK to close all dialogs. You will need to reboot the machine to complete the change.

 

Windows 7 and Vista

From control panel, under Clock and Regional settings, select 'Change keyboard or other input methods. On the Region and language dialog, select the 'Administrative ' tab.
   

One the 'Administrative' tab, click 'Change system locale' and on the Region and language settings dialog select an appropriate locale (Arabic, Chinese etc). Click OK to close all dialogs.

    


You may need to logout or reboot the machine to complete the change.
